WASHINGTON, PA - There has been a very publicly addressed security vulnerability in Oracle's Java platform. This update can allow malicious websites to gain control over a computer and run applications without the user's permission.

Oracle has corrected this vulnerability on Monday and released Java 7 Update 12. Once this update is downloaded and installed you will be protected from this particular flaw, however you should always exercise caution when browsing unfamiliar websites to help keep your system secure.
